STS 95, also known as Discovery (STS-95), is a crewed spacecraft launched by NASA on October 29, 1998, from Launch Pad LC39B at the Kennedy Space Center using a Space Shuttle launch vehicle. This winged orbiter has dimensions of 37.3 meters in length and span, with a diameter of 23.8 meters. It had a launch mass of 97,087 kg and a dry mass of 88,284 kg. Equipped with fuel cells and batteries for power supply, the spacecraft was designed and manufactured by BNAP for JSC (Johnson Space Center) operations. The mission purpose was to support crewed space activities, using two OME (AJ10-190) motors and featuring a shape described as "Box + 2 Wing + Fin."
