It was launched on November 18, 1997, from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome (PLMSC) using a Soyuz-U launch vehicle from Launch Pad LC43/3. The spacecraft has dimensions of 6.5 meters in length and diameter, with a dry mass of 2555 kilograms. It utilizes batteries for power supply and is equipped with an S5.120 maneuver module motor. RESURS F-1M is configured as a Vostok / Zenit Capsule with a shape described as a Sphere + DCone.
