SOYUZ-TM 24, also known as Soyuz TM-24, is a crewed spacecraft launched by Russia on August 17, 1996, from the Tyuratam Space Center using a Soyuz-U launch vehicle. The satellite has dimensions of 7.2 meters in length, 2.2 meters in diameter, and spans 10.6 meters. It was manufactured by RKKE and weighs 2850 kilograms at launch and dry mass. Equipped with two deployable fixed solar arrays and batteries for power, the spacecraft's design includes a shape described as sphere + cone + cylinder + 2 panels (pan). Its mission is to serve as a crewed spacecraft, using a KTDU-80 (S5.80) motor and has a shape that incorporates five reaction control systems (RCS). The satellite was launched with the payload Soyuz 7K-STM No. 73 for its intended purpose.
