COSMOS 2286, also known as Kosmos-2286, is an early warning satellite launched on August 5, 1994, from the Plesetsk Launch Site using a Molniya 8K78M launch vehicle. The spacecraft has dimensions of 4 meters in length and 2 meters in diameter with a span of 5 meters and a dry mass of 1,150 kg. It was manufactured by NPOL/KOMET for the Russian Air Force (PVO) as part of the Oko early warning system.
