POSAT 1, also known as POSAT-OSCAR-28, is an Earth observation and technology satellite that was launched on September 26, 1993, from ELA2 at the Guiana Space Centre using Ariane 40 launch vehicle. It was manufactured by SSTL for INETI (Instituto Nacional de Engenharia e Tecnologia Industrial) and is part of the UoSAT bus series with a Microsat-70 configuration. Its shape is described as box plus antenna, and it has an RCS (Reflective Coefficient Shape) value of 0.3317. POSAT 1 does not have any motor or ADCS (Attitude Determination and Control System).
