This Yantar'-4KS1 bus satellite was manufactured by TSSKB and designed for photographic data transmission in support of reconnaissance missions. The spacecraft measures 8 meters in length with a diameter of 2.7 meters and spans 8.5 meters, featuring two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power supply. It has a dry mass of 3790 kg and was equipped with the Neman No. 6L payload. Its operational lifetime was approximately 10 months.
