Summary
ANIK E2, also known as Anik E2, is a communication satellite launched on April 4, 1991, from ELA2 at FRGUI launch site using an Ariane 44P launch vehicle. The satellite was manufactured by GEEW and owned by TCAN. It has a configuration of AS-5000 with dimensions of 2.9 meters in length, 2.3 meters in diameter, and a span of 21.5 meters. ANIK E2's dry mass is 1335 kilograms and its launch mass was 2950 kilograms. The satellite carries 24 C-band transponders and 16 Ku-band transponders for communication purposes. It has two deployable solar arrays and batteries to generate power.
