Summary
COSMOS 2092 (also known as Kosmos-2092) is a military communication satellite that was launched on August 8, 1990, from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome LC32/2 launch pad using the Tsiklon-3 launch vehicle. The spacecraft has dimensions of 1.6 meters in length and 0.8 meters in diameter, with a span of 7 meters. It had a dry mass of 225 kilograms and was equipped with solar cells and batteries for power generation. Designed by NPOPM (NPO Mashinostroyenia), COSMOS 2092 has a cylindrical shape augmented by antennas and was intended to serve military communication purposes.
