GORIZONT 20, also known as Gorizont, is a communication satellite with the OBJECT_ID 1990-054A and NORAD_CAT_ID 20659. It was launched on June 20, 1990, from the Tyuratam (Baikonur) launch site using Proton-K/DM as the launch vehicle. The satellite has a cylindrical shape with two panels, dimensions of 5.5 meters in length and 3.3 meters in diameter, and spans 9.5 meters when fully deployed. It carries equipment including six C-band transponders and one Ku-band transponder for its mission. The dry mass is 2000 kg, and the launch mass was 2120 kg. It has two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power supply. Manufactured by NPOPM, it was owned by MSVYAZ and operated for about three years from its stable date of June 21, 1990.
