PEGSAT (1990-028A) is a U.S.-based satellite launched on April 5, 1990, from AFWTR using the Pegasus launch vehicle from Launch Pad RW04/22. It was manufactured by GSFC and designed for R&D purposes, specifically to conduct a barium release experiment. The satellite has dimensions of 0.8 meters in length with a diameter and span both measuring 1.1 meters. Its dry mass is recorded as 160 kilograms, which is the same as its launch mass. PEGSAT's shape consists of a cylinder with two canted cylinders attached. It was powered by batteries and operated under the ownership of GSFC for research and development missions.
