COSMOS 2030 (Kosmos-2030) is a reconnaissance satellite belonging to the Yantar'-4K2 series and was launched by the Soviet Union on July 12, 1989, from PLMSC using a Soyuz-U launch vehicle. The spacecraft features a configuration of a Yantar Bus with a main reentry module and two small reentry capsules. It measures 6.3 meters in length and has a diameter of 2.7 meters, spanning the same width. With a dry mass of 2886 kg, it was designed for film return type photographic reconnaissance missions. The satellite is equipped with two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power generation. Manufactured by TSSKB, COSMOS 2030's payload includes Kobal't No. 523 and its shape consists of a cylinder with two panels, having an RCS (Reaction Control System) area of 57.42 square meters.
