PHASE 3C (AO-13), also known as AMSAT-OSCAR-13, is an amateur radio communication satellite launched on June 15, 1988, from the ELA2 launch pad at the Kourou Launch Site in French Guiana using the Ariane 44LP launch vehicle. The satellite was manufactured by AMDL and is part of the AMSAT Phase 3 program. It measures approximately 0.6 meters in length with a diameter of 0.2 meters, has a span of 0.6 meters, and weighed 142 kilograms at launch. Its dry mass is 92 kilograms. The satellite's shape resembles a star and it has an RCS value of 0.9033. It uses solar cells and batteries for power generation. PHASE 3C (AO-13) was launched to facilitate amateur radio communication, with the payload being AMSAT Phase III-C.
