COSMOS 1902 (also known as Kosmos-1902) is a radar calibration satellite launched on December 15, 1987, from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome's LC133/3 launch pad using a Kosmos 11K65M launch vehicle. It was manufactured by YUZH and operated by PVO (Soviet Air Defense Forces). The satellite has a spherical shape with dimensions of 2 meters in length, diameter, and span, and it weighs 570 kilograms both at launch and dry mass. Its primary purpose is radar calibration, and it uses solar cells and batteries for power supply. The spacecraft's radar cross-section (RCS) is 7.19 square meters, making it useful for calibrating radar systems.
