It was manufactured by YUZH for the GRU (Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff). The satellite has dimensions of 4.5 meters in length, 1.4 meters in diameter, and a span of 22.7 meters. Its dry mass is 3250 kg, which is also its launch mass. The mission purpose was Vehicle Evaluation, carrying a Tselina-2 GVM payload for evaluation purposes.
