COSMOS 1735 (also known as Kosmos-1735) is an ocean surveillance satellite launched by the Soviet Union on February 27, 1986, from the Tyuratam Space Center using a Tsiklon-2 launch vehicle. The spacecraft has dimensions of 10 meters in length and 1.3 meters in diameter with a span of 17 meters, featuring two deployable fixed solar arrays and batteries for power generation. It weighs 3000 kilograms dry and had a launch mass of 3300 kilograms. Manufactured by ARSL/KOMET, COSMOS 1735 is part of the US-P series with a mission to perform passive ocean surveillance under the ownership of VMF (Russian Naval Forces). The satellite has an RCS value of 28.85 and is shaped as a cylinder with two panels.
