COSMOS 1715, also known as Kosmos-1715, is a reconnaissance satellite launched on January 8, 1986, from the PLMSC launch site using the Soyuz-U launch vehicle. The spacecraft, manufactured by TSSKB and operated by GUKOS, has a configuration based on the Zenit bus with dimensions of 6 meters in length and diameter of 2.2 meters, featuring a sphere + DCone shape. It weighed 2655 kg at launch and had a dry mass of 2655 kg, powered by batteries. The satellite is equipped with the Oblik No. 323 payload for reconnaissance purposes, using film return type technology. Its motors include the 11D82M and S5.120 maneuver module.
