METEOR 2-13, also known as Meteor-2, is a meteorology satellite launched on December 26, 1985, from the Plesetsk Missile and Space Complex (PLMSC) Launch Pad LC32/1 using a Tsiklon-3 launch vehicle. It was manufactured by VNIEM for GUKOS/GMS with the mission of meteorological observation. The satellite has a SP-1 bus configuration, measures 4.5 meters in length and 1.4 meters in diameter, spans 4.5 meters, and weighs 1500 kilograms at launch and dry mass. It is equipped with TV, IR, SM, and RMK-2 equipment and powered by two deployable solar arrays and batteries. Its shape consists of a cylinder with two panels and has a radar cross-section (RCS) of 4.0079 square meters.
