COSMOS 1707 (also known as Kosmos-1707) is a SIGINT satellite launched by the Soviet Union on December 12, 1985, from Launch Pad LC32/1 at PLMSC using the Tsiklon-3 launch vehicle. The spacecraft has dimensions of 3.2 meters in length and 1.3 meters in diameter with a span of 13.1 meters. It has a dry mass of 1750 kilograms, which is also its launch mass. Equipped with Ikar No. 48L payload and powered by two deployable solar arrays along with batteries, the satellite was manufactured by YUZH for SIGINT purposes and operated under the ownership of GRU. Its mission lasted approximately six months before it ceased operation.
