COSMOS 1699, also known as Kosmos-1699, is a reconnaissance satellite designed for photo (film return type) missions launched by the Soviet Union on October 25, 1985, from the PLMSC site using a Soyuz-U launch vehicle. The spacecraft, identified by NORAD CAT ID 16198 and OBJECT_ID 1985-101A, is based on the Yantar'-4K2 bus configuration with a main reentry module and two small reentry capsules.
