COSMOS 1625, also known as Kosmos-1625, is an ocean surveillance satellite that was launched on January 23, 1985, from the TYMSC launch site at LC90 using a Tsiklon-2 launch vehicle. The spacecraft has dimensions of 10 meters in length and 1.3 meters in diameter with a span of 17 meters, featuring a configuration known as US-Bus. It was manufactured by ARSL/KOMET for VMF (Voyenno-Morskoy Flot) and has a dry mass of 3000 kg with a launch mass of 3300 kg. The satellite is equipped with two deployable fixed solar arrays and batteries to provide power and is designed to conduct passive ocean surveillance using the US-PM No. 2L payload.
