COSMOS 1573, also known as Kosmos-1573, is a reconnaissance satellite equipped for photo (film return type) missions launched by the Soviet Union on June 19, 1984. It was launched from the PLMSC launch site using Soyuz-U as the launch vehicle. The spacecraft has dimensions of 6 meters in length and 2.2 meters in diameter with a span also measuring 6 meters. Its dry mass is 2655 kilograms, which is equal to its launch mass. COSMOS 1573 was manufactured by TSSKB and operated for approximately 14 days. The satellite's mission included reconnaissance activities utilizing the Argon No. 94L payload. It was powered by batteries and featured a shape described as Sphere + DCone, with propulsion provided by motors 11D82M and S5.120 (maneuver module). The ownership of the satellite is attributed to GUKOS.
