PROGRESS 22, also known as Progress-22, is a cargo satellite manufactured by NPOE and launched on May 28, 1984, from the TYSMC launch site using LC31 with a Soyuz-U launch vehicle. The spacecraft has dimensions of 7.9 meters in length and diameter, and spans 7.9 meters. It had a dry mass of 4800 kg and a launch mass of 7250 kg. Equipped with batteries for power supply, its primary purpose was to deliver cargo. The satellite's configuration includes a shape described as a sphere plus cone plus cylinder plus panel. Its bus model is the 7K-TG, and it operates with a KTDU-80 motor. The satellite was owned by NPOE and carried a payload known as Progress 7K-TG No. 122.
