COSMOS 1501 (also known as Kosmos-1501) is a satellite with the OBJECT_ID of 1983-101A, launched on September 30, 1983, from PLMSC Launch Pad LC132/1 using the Kosmos 11K65M launch vehicle. It was manufactured by YUZH and operated under the ownership of PVO for radar calibration purposes. The satellite features a configuration known as AUOS-3 with dimensions of 2.5 meters in length, 1.8 meters in diameter, and a span of 23 meters. It has a dry mass of 925 kilograms and was launched with a total mass of 1045 kilograms. The satellite's power is provided by eight deployable fixed solar arrays and batteries.
