COSMOS 1455, also known as Kosmos-1455, is a SIGINT (Signals Intelligence) satellite launched on April 23, 1983, from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome LC32/2 launch pad using a Tsiklon-3 launch vehicle. Manufactured by YUZH and operated by GRU, this Tselina-D type satellite measures 3.2 meters in length with a diameter of 1.3 meters and spans up to 13.1 meters when fully deployed. It has a dry mass of 1750 kilograms and was equipped with the Ikar No. 35L payload. The spacecraft features two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power generation and has a shape described as cylindrical plus antenna, with an RCS (Radiating Surface Area) of 5.4235 square meters. Its mission was designed to last approximately six months.
