COSMOS 1378 (also known as Kosmos-1378) is an electronic intelligence (SIGINT) satellite launched by the Soviet Union on June 10, 1982, from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome's Launch Pad LC32/1 using a Tsiklon-3 launch vehicle. The spacecraft has dimensions of 3.2 meters in length and 1.3 meters in diameter with a span of 13.1 meters, featuring two deployable solar arrays and batteries for power supply. It has a dry mass of 1750 kilograms and was designed to operate for approximately six months. The satellite's mission involved gathering intelligence using the Ikar No. 38L payload, and it was manufactured by YUZH under the ownership of GRU (Main Intelligence Directorate).
