COSMOS 1343, also known as Kosmos-1343, is a reconnaissance satellite launched on March 17, 1982, from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome using Soyuz-U launch vehicle. It was manufactured by TSSKB and operated for 14 days with a mission to conduct photo reconnaissance of film return type. The satellite has dimensions of 6 meters in length and diameter of 2.2 meters, with a span of 6 meters, and it weighs 2655 kilograms at launch as well as its dry mass. It uses batteries for power and is shaped like a sphere plus DCone. Its equipment includes an Argon No. 50L payload and maneuver modules powered by 11D82M and S5.120 motors. The satellite was owned by GUKOS, the Soviet General Space Forces.
