METEOR PRIRODA (Meteor-Priroda) is a weather and earth observation satellite launched on July 10, 1981, from Launch Complex 31 at the Tyuratam Space Center using the Vostok 8A92M launch vehicle. The spacecraft has dimensions of 4.5 meters in length, a diameter of 1.4 meters, and a span of 4.5 meters with a dry mass of 1500 kilograms. It was manufactured by VNIEM for PRIR (possibly Priroda Research Institute) and is based on the SP-1 bus configuration. The satellite's power supply comes from two deployable solar arrays and batteries, while its primary mission focuses on meteorology and earth observation. Its shape consists of a cylinder with two panels, and it has a radar cross-section of 4.2242 square meters.
