MOLNIYA 1-47, also known as Molniya-1, is a satellite launched by the Soviet Union on June 21, 1980, from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome using the Molniya 8K78M launch vehicle. The spacecraft has dimensions of 4.4 meters in length and 1.4 meters in diameter with a span of 8.6 meters, featuring a Cyl + 6 Pan shape and an RCS value of 21.3101. It has a dry mass of 1620 kg and was launched with a total mass of 1650 kg. The satellite is part of the Molniya-1K series (No. 56L) and was manufactured by NPOPM for GUKOSR, serving as part of the Soviet Union's telecommunications constellation.
